Swun
Privacy
Last updated June 28, 2026. This is how Swun handles your information, in plain language.
Swun is operated by E&P Boulangerie LLC (California), the controller of the information described here.
What we collect
When you use Swun, we collect: the email address you submit; your name; an optional phone number; and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the basic profile information they return - your email and name, plus (with Google) your profile photo. For the person you're planning for, we collect whatever you choose to give us: their name and email, their birthday, a photo, and details about them - what they love, what to avoid, dietary needs, and shared context about your relationship (how you describe it, your anniversary, how you met). We also collect the free-text answers you give to the planning questions (your "memory" - dietary needs, things to avoid, scheduling, and shared context about the two of you); the occasion type and date; and the choices you make on the draft picks. If you sign in, we store a session token on your device (in your browser, or in the iOS app's secure keychain). We also collect basic usage data about how Swun is used - see Cookies & analytics below.
How we use it
We use this information to plan the night - drafting picks with Anthropic Claude, emailing the partner (if you chose to keep the plan a surprise), emailing the recap and the magic sign-in link, and storing your accumulated preferences so the next plan starts where this one left off. If you give us a phone number, we may use it to reach you about your plans - for example, a reminder before an occasion or a concierge call-back you requested. We use usage data to understand what's working and improve the product.
What we share
We share data with service providers strictly to deliver and improve Swun: Anthropic (Claude - for AI drafting; we send the relevant prompt content, which can include the planning details and names above), Resend (for sending emails), PostHog (for product analytics and feature flags), Sentry (for error and crash diagnostics), our hosting providers (Vercel and Railway), and - when you choose to sign in with them - the sign-in providers Google and Apple. When you choose to book something, following a reservation or partner link may pass standard referral information (for example, that the click came from Swun) to that venue or to an affiliate network such as Awin - that's how Swun earns a share of the booking instead of charging you. We never sell your data, and we never share it with advertisers.
Cookies & analytics
We keep you signed in with a token stored in your browser (not an advertising cookie). We use PostHog to understand how the site is used and to run product experiments; it may set cookies or similar identifiers for this purpose. We do not run advertising or cross-site ad-tracking cookies.
The person you're planning for
Swun lets you store details about another person - your partner - including some that are sensitive, like dietary needs. You should only add someone else's information if you have their okay to do so. We use that information solely to plan for them; we don't contact them except for the surprise email you explicitly choose to send. If you delete your account, the partner details you added are erased along with it.
Your rights
You can review, edit, or clear what Swun remembers about you any time you're signed in - open your account and update the partner and "Our preferences" fields; clearing a field removes it. You can also request full account deletion or a complete copy of your data(your rights under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA). Deletion is real deletion: every record you own is erased, you are de-identified from any partner's records, and we keep only a hashed receipt proving the erasure happened. We honor verified requests within 45 days. Email hi@heyswun.com.
Children
Swun is for adults planning evenings with other adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
